😁 a lil sugar ray, sweaty sunshine, and local mangoes ... ugh what could be better than that?? So happy and so motivated to get up and run bc I just love summers in Miami. Broke things up a little today with 3.5 fast miles , heavy lifting, then 2 miles CD. I scooped up 3 mangoes on the way back and struggled to carry them + my phone for a mile back lol so worth it tho. It’s the little things that make me SO happy 🥭 happy #workoutwednesday

What is it about seeing a big run workout on paper ahead of time that makes it so intimidating?? Last week when I got a glimpse of what was on deck for this morning, my first reaction was “that looks soooo hard, but I can’t wait to try it.” It turns out I had nothing to be worried about! I’m a few weeks into tackling real workouts again, so I still have a little of that uncertainty about my current capabilities. But with each successful attempt to push past my comfort zone, I’m gaining my confidence back. And it feels AMAZING. 9 miles with a 5 mile continuous progression from 8:25 down to 7:44. I felt challenged but completely in control the entire time. I think it’s safe to say I’m making my way “back.” 🏃🏼‍♀️💕 #borntorunfree #poweryourpassion #wakeupandrun

So there is a reason you will always see me smiling. .
Although I have not always been this happy (on the inside at least), I have learned in the last year to treat myself with respect and realized.... If I can not truely be happy, there is no way I can spread that joy to others the way I want too.

Obviously Disney makes me happy, but fitness does too! Realizing how much I have changed and understanding that tomorrow, if I work hard, I will be better than I am today. That thought pushes me evey single day and fills me with happiness.

I couldn\'t be happier then evey day when I first walk into the gym... knowing that every second I am there I am doing something just for myself, and not for anyone else! I am making a commitment to myself to be happy and to not let anything stand in my way of that. Eveyone deserves that.

Sleep is also very detrimental to the performance and choices of people. If your body doesn’t get enough sleep, cortisol will rise, your body’s stress hormone, often leading to bad food choices.
Studies have also shown to decrease the production of glycogen and carbohydrates that are stored for energy during use of physical activity, therefore fatigue, low energy and poor focus are a lot more likely to occur!

I missed my morning run but sleep is important for training too. Can\'t demand a lot from workouts and barely sleep and be exposed to several colds each week so sleep is first and workouts get done, but rescheduled. Looking forward to starting my summer vacation on Friday and visiting SF next week for some SF running then the SF marathon end of July!🥳💥💥💥then after SF marathon is surf city 10, lb half, surf city half, and maybe LA marathon. No gym outdoor workout. It was only a 45 min workout plus walk but I got it done💪. At first I wanted to go then I was thinking no I can’t go now it’s getting too late, the sun is going down, I have to bathe the babies, feed them, blah blah blah. EXCUSES that’s what I was doing! Making excuses and I’m not gonna get to my goal if I keep making excuses! No one should make excuses or get to their goal with excuses. If you have a goal go get it! In other words, if you want to keep your fitness relatively the same, don’t take more than a month off.
With the summer break approaching and lots of people leaving Dubai for up to 2 months, training can take a back seat.
This doesn\'t have tl be the case. Whilst you may not make it to a gym or your favourite group exercise class, there is always an opportunity to exercise when away.
Long walks, bike rides with the kids, at home exercise routines, trail running..whatever takes your fancy.

So today I decided to do some cleans and I was actually surprised that I was still able to do my current pr weight (185). By no means was my form perfect but for not doing these for about six months I can’t really be mad.
Once I finish my power programs I will definitely be going back to Olympic lifting. I mean 315 isn’t going to lift it’s self.

So yesterday we had some badass lifters come to @adamantbarbellclub that were preping for some CrossFit event and let me tell you the amount of weight they were cleaning was insane. So today I decided to do some cleans and I was actually surprised that I was still able to do my current pr weight (185). Went a little harder today than normal cause I skipped last night.
Feels good to start getting my strength back for squats and for the first time ever, I\'m doing more bench presses. Starting at 3 sets of 15 at 90, which isn\'t too much, but you gotta start somewhere.

Experimented with KB flow. I don’t know if this one exists but I threw in whatever I felt like which is probably why I forgot what I was doing in the middle of it 😭.
