💋💋Which makeup is BEST for lasting through a gym workout? How about.. NO makeup!! Let your skin breathe, ladies. I keep getting DM's about makeup. Who else gets these? I keep seeing ads for makeup that will stay put through a sweaty session at the gym. Ugh!! That's great, I guess.. BUT, I don't like wearing makeup. I even tried being a Younique rep, but I can't sell what I don't wear myself. I especially don't like makeup on when I am sweaty. IG is full of beautiful perfect fitness models in full makeup, hair down, wearing jewelry, etc. I wouldn't survive 3 minutes with my hair down. 😂 Working out after work and not during my lunch hour means that I can just wipe it off and leave it off. That is a WIN!! .

Honesty time: I’m struggling. This past week hasn’t been a good one mentally, emotionally, or physically.
I’m struggling with anxiety and depression because of some tough issues I’m working through with my husband in therapy. It’s scary as hell to admit we need therapy, but we both realize we are flawed individuals and need outside help to make our marriage work. It took me months to finally realize that couples therapy does not equate with divorce. It’s not our last resort, but our first. So while it’s been hard as we battle our own demons and each other’s, we are fighting together and that’s what matters.
I’m struggling with my body because it’s not healing the way I want. My hip still throbs after workouts, and I’m scared my PCP is going to throw more shots and pills at me when I see her Wednesday.
I’m struggling with the new @ww program @kurbohealth, and have been questioning if I want to support a company that pressures kids to lose weight. It’s put a bad taste in my mouth and as much as I think about leaving, I’m scared to do so. This program has been so successful for me.
I’m struggling with being okay with my size now, and hating that I feel like I’m succumbing to society’s obsession with diets and thin bodies. There has to be a fine line between wanting to be thin so I can fit a societal expectation and wanting to be thin to be healthy. I just haven’t found that happy medium yet.
Because of this I’ve been binge eating, crashing, and obsessing with the number on the scale. It’s been a frustrating cycle the past week and I’m so over it.
I don’t want my daughters to see their mother continually diet year after year. I don’t want them to see me obsess over points and scale numbers. I grew up that way and I refuse to pass that on.
I didn’t really have a picture to post with all this. And I was feeling myself in this selfie I took a few days ago. So there you go. 😂 Life is shitty sometimes, but it never lasts. I have to remind myself that good times always come back. And despite it all, I have a good life, even when it feels a little cloudy.

Back to the #bike as I fight #weightloss with some #selfcare & some determination. I had a rough morning. Unlike many people with full #kidneyfailure I'm #blessed enough to still pee on my own...yes many lose that ability and the urine products go directly into the blood... This was happening to me as my disease progresses and I was holding water having skin issues and discoloration (if I ever get brace enough I'll show my legs they look like #Deadpool .... Just as #shapley tho right @vancityreynolds ?)... Today I had the pleasure of 9 small pees from going to bed until 10 am & after a night of going to pee (barely anything) I was exhausted had a big day ahead of me & not allowed #coffee or a #monster as my body can't handle that. Asking dad for some tea ... I brushed my teeth and was treated to an hour of dry heaving ... My eyes were watering at first and I am not ashamed to admit that those came to #tears & I was in a negative spiral. Rembering some awesome posts and blasting some #applemusic to hide the sounds from my dad as only him and our dog Shanti and two cats were home... I rallied and was off for the closing of the most luxurious home I've ever sold as a #realtor .... I giveso much credit to the #listingagent #luxurylistings the @conor_salisbury for the understanding & help getting the deal not only pushed through but also some of the finer points of an estate sale of this magnitude. This sale was a process from before dialysis to now including my #hospital stint of almost 2 months (Nov 24- Dec 24.... Yup they had mercy and let me out xmas Eve...got my diagnosis of #igan & total kidney failure on the 23 of Dec 😭😭) So closing went good, although I was short of breath my clients didn't notice. Drove to my parents met by my loving #mama ... grabbed my #headphones & boom in the car still in jeans and a long sleeve T for dialysis ...I usually wear #lululemon #joggers and have never biked in jeans. Then at #dialysis I had issues ... Issues with my line issues with other things... So I ran #reverse today which scared me that I may have issues with my lines...luckily my fav #nurse Liana W was mine today ...we got through & I'm on the bike.

The results you see here are from daily exercise, including walking daily. I also cut my portion sizes considerably and increased my water intake. Matter of fact, pretty much the only thing I drink these days is water. I take a daily multivitamin to ensure I receive necessary nutrients. .
Most of my meals are a lean protein and lots of vegetables. Snacks are generally fruit, although I have not been snacking much.

During 'idle' time I'm usually looking for something to do, so I am constantly moving.

Day 4 post-op!! Still can’t believe how smooth my recovery has been! I will say the hardest part has been dealing with these drains! Funny enough, the area of insertion for the drains is more tender and painful than my actual tummy tuck incision! I’m only draining them 1-2 times a day but OMG...
