I love sharing all parts of my journey with you guys. The good, bad, ugly, beautiful, hard, scary, challenging, wonderful parts of my journey. Real life is not perfect. I know on social media it can be hard especially when it can look like everyone has their life together, always looks so dressed up, and has a wonderful relationship with friends, significant others and with themselves. It’s hard not to compare your life or your journey to others. It’s hard not to feel pretty enough, skinny enough, strong enough, successful enough...I know it’s so hard!! I find myself comparing myself to others sometimes and it can totally make me feel upset with where I am in my own life! That’s why it is so important to me to share all of it. Because as much as I love my life, my journey and yes even my body- we all have hard days. That’s ok!!! Remember people often only share and show you what they want you to see, making it seem like a highlight reel. It’s hard to share the challenges, struggles and moments where we just don’t feel good enough!
So remember to enjoy YOUR journey, YOUR story and remind yourself that no matter how it may look on social media- everyone goes through hard times! You are not alone! These are the days we don\'t want to show up or share...the bloat is unreal, dirty hair that\'s fallen into a side pony, grumpy, and tired. .
Shortly after I had Tidyn (omggg almost 7 years ago) I created an Instagram account to share how freaking cute she was...then...I find the explore page with a bunch of tall, thin, acai bowl eating, perfect women with clean white kitchens. I follow them! I want to be them! Wow...that didn\'t happen. Guess what did happen? I ended up feeling shitty about my own life...about my body, about everything. I ditch the \'fitspso\' and start walking, then running, then learning everything I can about the world of fitness! Fast forward until just a couple years ago...I create my own fitness account...one where I share the weird shit I enjoy doing on the daily. From crazy HIIT to lazy Abs. I turn my garage into my own personal gym! I\'m dedicated to sharing the good, the bad, and the bloated. Today I wasn\'t feeling it (just being a lazy grump) but I showed up, and I did it.
Let\'s be real, I\'m not trying to be anything I\'m not....i didn\'t eat a fancy acai bowl for lunch, I had a box of freaking red vines. My kid doesn\'t wear adorable matching dresses with me, she wears unicorn shirts stained with chocolate.
If you\'re following someone that makes you feel bad about yourself (and that includes me), unfollow them! Take comfort in the fact that people only share the GOOD here in this cyber world!

Some early signs of dehydration include headaches, dizziness, dry mouth, cool skin, fatigue, concentrated (very yellow) urine and then decreased during output. Late sign include confusion, lethargy and renal failure.

Studies show that dehydration can also hinder fat loss, increase risk if injury, and hinder muscle growth! The solution is to stay hydrated and I have the cure! @curehydration

And I get it. It’s overwhelming when there are all kinds of “quick fixes” and fad diets and crazy looking exercises being thrown in your face from every direction.
But I want you to know more than anything, It doesn’t have to be overwhelming.
In fact, it can even be like one of my clients said a couple weeks ago: “Jen, I honestly can’t believe how much easier this is than I anticipated.” It’s possible for you to make healthy lifestyle changes without adding 12 more things to you to-do list.
OR you could be like another client who came in yesterday, and told me that over the weekend she wore a dress she loved (that didn’t fit a few months ago), and felt more confident than she had in years.
It’s possible for you to get unstuck and feel confident.
Or you could also be like a friend of mine who said, “I’m so excited because this really has become just a part of who I am now! It’s MY lifestyle.” Feeling healthy, fit, and energetic is 100% a possibility for YOU.

Mhmmm another post 2 days in a row! THIS WAS SO GOOD AND EASY! The fresh healthy homemade tzatziki was the star on top of this (@zoeskitchen inspired) power-grain bowl! I layered rice (I used @traderjoes sprouted organic California rice blend), cucumbers, some shredded romaine (tossed in a little EVO, lemon juice & sumac), and some baked falafel (straight from a trader Joe\'s box 😏). I grew up competing dance and was very physical so i never thought about my weight or food choices back then, but in my 20s when i had stopped & started my career, my body went through a major change. .

It wasn’t until my mid-late 20s that i really started to explore food as medicine, started incorporating in cardio, strength, and total body conditioning and made a real effort to ‘be healthy’.

It’s crazy to think back because tho i didn’t open my independence coaching business until i was 37, the entire decade prior to it i WAS coaching others while i was on my own fitness journey. When i lost weight, i taught others how. When i went to spin class I’d inspire and invite friends to come with me. I guess i didn’t realize then that what i was doing IS a profession. Funny how our careers sometimes find us...

Over the years I’ve come to use fitness just as much for my MIND as i do for my body. Especially when life is presenting me with challenges, turning to my mat, to weights, or getting outdoors for a hike or bike ride is the best way i gain control of a positive and clear mind. Doesn’t mean I’m always motivated to get started, but i always feel better when i do.

Got my pink on and jumped into it! Cardio is still a challenge for me but I am improving. Things I struggled with in week one are things I pushed through today. Still struggling with kick through and mule to 🐸 😂. I got this! 👊🏻💪🏻

This was my office view for the day 😍 I worked with my best friend, brainstormed ideas, set actual goals and planned future dreams. The Lord has been calling Dustin and I out to big, scary things and we are basically just holding onto our hats and letting Him lead us. There is not a single day that goes by that I’m not thankful for this life and for the choice we get on how to live it!

Friends, I get it. I was afraid that if I “sold” anything or did network marketing (yup, I said it!) that people would judge me or talk about me. But, I very quickly realized that the products we were using were drastically changing the health of our family and it was selfish and stupid of me to NOT share. I also realized that, peoples opinions are never going to pay my bills or provide the life for our family that we have envisioned.

This is 2019. It’s totally normal and lucrative to work from home. Did you know that 82% of women who make a six figure income, do it through network marketing? Am I saying this is easy work? No. It’s work, just like anything else that’s worth your time. Is it worth it? 100% YES! Without a shadow of a doubt👏🏼.

So what do our days look like? I check in with my friends/teammates as they are busting through health goals and setting new ones as they go! I mentor my team on how to grow a business and I learn from other friends on how they are growing. I help others see their potential. I show up. I take care of my own health and I get to do all of this while raising our babies and growing a baby!

Time to stop playing small. There is so much goodness out there just waiting for you😘.

What’s missing?! Me running down the beach 😕Because of my recent car accident / back injury, I have to take a break from my normal exercise routine😡
I’m in California on a family vaca and normally I would be running this outstanding beach, and today I just relaxed and set some new Intentions, while my husband left me to continue on his 10 mile run.( NO, I’m not jealous at all 🙄) I feel disappointed, but I’m still sticking to my wellness and plant-based 🌱 based nutrition plan just adjusted to my new “slower-paced” lifestyle. I am not throwing in the towel. I know how important it is to stick to a self-care routine and modify where I need to.
Adapt and overcome. An injury, a sick child, there will always be some kind of struggle... Stay on YOUR path.... If u fall off it’s ok, get back on!
I’m going to be the best I can be during this season of my life so my road to recovery isn’t as tough.
BUT.. I am very excited to continue helping YOU reach your wellness goals!!! 👊🏻👊🏻 So here we are at the halfway point for the year. Have you given up on your New Year’s goals??? Congrats! How To Help Make Exercise A Habit

Whether you are beginning your fitness journey or trying to recommit to exercise again, I think most people would agree the hardest part of it is the mental aspect over physical. It’s challenging to make time for exercise when we aren’t used to it!

These are some tips that helped me after my surgery since that was essentially taking me back to square one! It was hard mentally to make it a habit again even though I really needed to strengthen my muscles for rehab.

1️⃣ Short Workouts: Exercise doesn’t have to be a huge ordeal & take hours! Thinking about it this way can keep you from wanting to even begin. Try lunges while you wait for your food in the oven or ab work while you watch your fave show. This gets your body used to moving & it’s easier to convince yourself to do 5 min vs. 30 min.

2️⃣ Small Goals: “Go to the gym 5 days a week” can be too ambitious when just starting. If we miss 1 day, we feel discouraged & potentially give up. Tiny goals throughout the day/week give us the instant gratification & tell our brain we are successful vs. a failure. After time, this motivates you to make the goals gradually bigger!

3️⃣ Enjoyable Movements: Pick activities you like to do. If you hate the treadmill, it’s not where you want to start. It will leave you hating your workout & less likely to want to go again. Bike, hike, dance, walk, swim, do yoga… the options are endless!

Don’t think of exercise as an all or nothing thing or something you can only do in a gym. Any movement you can do & integrate into your day to day will help build this habit!
