Erawan Museum - 'About 40 mins drive outside of central #Bangkok is the fascinating #Erawan Museum. The first thing you’ll likely notice upon arrival is the massive three headed elephant made of bronze that adorns the outside of the building. It weighs 250 tonnes, is 29m high, 39m long and stands on a 15-meter-high pedestal. This photo is of the underside of the staircase in the main building that snakes its way in either direction to the intricate glass roof. The whole inside of the museum is modelled after the Hindu representation of the universe. Beyond the interesting architecture is a cast collection of art and artefacts that’s worth a visit in itself.' – @ed_norton -- Tap our link in bio for more information on escaping the crowds in Thailand, as well as the top 11 free things to do in Bangkok.

Sukhothai, Sukhothai, Thailand - 'Some 427 km north of #Bangkok is the 13th century town of #Sukhothai (meaning 'dawn of happiness'). It was founded in 1238 and was the capital of the Thai Empire for approximately 140 years. The former capital doesn’t share much with the current– expect a sleepy, relaxed town where your days can be spent with a book in a hammock or riding among the lotus ponds and ancient ruins of the Sukhothai Historical Park.' – @ed_norton -- Tap our link in bio for info on escaping the crowds in Thailand, as well as the best free things to do in Bangkok.
