Nicht jeder Lift klappt. Gerade im Powerlifting kann gar nicht jeder Versuch klappen.
Früher habe ich mich zu Tode geärgert und der ganze Tag war gelaufen. Mittlerweile ist es nicht mehr ganz so schlimm. Ich ärgere mich zwar immer noch sehr, jedoch nur direkt nach dem Lift. Eine Minute später versuche ich mir sofort klar zu machen, dass ein Fail ein ganz normaler Teil des Prozesses ist. —
Gerade im Bereich von Maximalversuchen kann und sollte man auch mal die Erfahrung machen wie es ist unter der Stange hängen zu bleiben. Das kann extrem dabei helfen sich selbst noch besser kennenzulernen. Das gilt übrigens nicht nur für Powerlifter. Wer noch nie bis RPE 11 trainiert hat, kann meiner Meinung nach gar nicht wissen, was eine RPE 7 ist.

Für mich sind gefailte Lifts mittlerweile nicht nur ein Grund zum ärgern, sondern ein extremer Lernfortschritt. „Failing is not an option“ Doch, is schon an option, nur eben nicht am Wettkampftag 😤

En el peso muerto sumo, al igual que ocurre durante una sentadilla con stance abierto, muchas veces se mal interpreta cómo nuestra posición respecto a la barra afecta a nuestras 'palancas'. En el peso muerto sumo tiende a decirse que la barra está más pegada a la cadera, por eso es más fácil mover la carga o más 'ventajoso'. La distancia de la barra a la cadera es relativa dependiendo del plano en que lo midas. Si únicamente nos fijamos desde un plano sagital respecto al torso, la distancia será menor, sin embargo, si nos fijamos en un plano sagital respecto al fémur, la situación es distinta. Un buen ejemplo es el análisis en 3D de (Escamilla et al. 2000) donde las diferencias de momento de extensión de cadera y brazo de momento entre sumo y convencional no fueron significativas durante una competición de powerlifting, sin embargo, las mediciones en 2D concluyeron en errores de medición . Otro claro ejemplo es el momento de extensión de rodilla, durante el peso muerto sumo, el momento de extensión de rodilla es inmensamente mayor que en convencional, de ahí que la activación de los cuádriceps también lo sea. Desde un plano sagital respecto al torso esto no puede explicarse ya que el brazo de momento sería mínimo o igual que en convencional dependiendo del setup (cadera alta o baja). After doing that top single yesterday I had to do sets of 5 at rpe6-7 so I did those with 405lbs. Small changes start to add up to big ones! My body is starting to change rapidly now, weight is going up but composition is leaner and getting tighter. Starting to see some shapes now and feeling chuffed. I’m not out to be shredded I just want a happy athletic body... the smile says it all.
