* 6 pieces bacon, diced ⁣
* 4 cups shredded chicken or other leftover chicken (see recipe notes)⁣
* 4 celery stalks, diced⁣
* 1 cup olives, sliced⁣
* 1/2 cup mayo⁣
* 1 tbsp lemon juice (about 1/2 lemon)⁣
* 1 tbsp mustard⁣
* 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped⁣
* Salt and pepper, to taste⁣
* chopped pistachios (optional topping)⁣
⁣
Instructions⁣
1. Dice bacon and heat a pan over medium heat. Cook for 6-8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the bacon is brown and starting to get crispy. Remove and place on a paper towel-lined plate to cool.⁣
2. While bacon is cooking, cut up celery, olives and avocado and place them in a bowl.⁣
3. Add shredded chicken to the bowl along with the lemon juice, mustard and chopped dill. Add the bacon in and mix will to incorporate. Taste and season with salt and pepper as desired.⁣
4. For optimal taste, refrigerate for 1-2 hours to completely cool and allow the flavors to combine. Serve with optional chopped pistachios if desired and enjoy!⁣

INGREDIENTS
2 @vitalfarms eggs
1/4 cup @brandlesslife maple syrup
1 cup @soomfoods tahini
1 tbs coconut oil
1/2 cup @bobsredmill coconut sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/3 cup @ghirardelli cocoa powder
1 tbs maca powder
1 tbs @bobsredmill coconut flour
1 scoop @ancientnutrition collagen peptides (optional)
1/2 tsp baking soda
pinch of salt
1/2 cup chopped @evolvedchocolate Signature dark chocolate
Chocolate drizzle (optional)
1/4 cup @eatingevolved chocolate
1 tbs coconut oil
INSTRUCTIONS
Heat oven to 350. Line 8x8 square baking pan with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, combine wet ingredients until well mixed. Fold in dry ingredients - it'll be very sticky. Stir in chocolate chips.
Spread batter evenly in pan. It helps to get a silicon spatula wet and spread the batter flat. Bake for 18-24 minutes or until toothpick comes out with a few wet crumbs. You definitely want a fudge-factor going on, so don't over bake them!
Let brownies cool. Melt together drizzle ingredients, then drizzle all over the brownies. DEVOUR.

creamy tomato + veggie (low carb & DF) soup !!

Okay I know most of America is experiencing a heat wave right now 😆 ... but it poured rain in my little beach town today & I’ve been fighting off a sore throat .. so tomato soup seemed fitting, summer and all! 🌞

a little twist on the traditional tomato soup! Loaded with veggies for some fiber + dense nutrients, plus a little protein with the added chicken. So flavorful & easy to throw together🙌🏼

🌿start by heating avo oil over medium heat in a large pot. Throw in 1/2 lb of sliced chicken breast that has been rubbed with seasoning (I use @bonafurtunafarm sea salt with oregano flowers). Add freshly chopped garlic (about 3 cloves) & sauté until chicken is mostly cooked through

🌿 add in 2 cups of chicken broth, 1/2 C canned crushed tomatoes, 1 tbsp tomato paste + 2 tsp salt. Bring to a boil then simmer 15 mins.

🌿 in the meantime, chop up about 2 cups kale, 1 small zucchini & 1/2 head of cauliflower, cut into florets. At end of 15 minutes, add veggies to soup base + 1/2 C unsweetened coconut cream + s/p and cayenne to taste. Simmer for another 10 min until cauli is tender.

🌿 serve soup in bowl & garnish with fresh basil + crushed red pepper ! (And parm cheese if you aren’t going for DF)

For the first time in my life I am spending my summer in shorts and tank tops. I spent so many summers still wearing jeans and layers because I was uncomfortable in my own skin. This picture on the left we were at the beach and I still had long pants and a 3/4 length shirt on! ⁣⁣

It was extremely hard for me to be overweight in the summer and that brought it's own set of physical challenges. ⁣⁣
One day I was just tried of being physically miserable and was finally ready to make a change. But it wasnt that easy. It is never just one decision to get healthy. It is dozens of little decisions every day, thousands of decisions over the last year and a half to get to this point. I still have to wake up every day and make positive choices to not go back there again because it would be so easy for me to do.⁣

ALL THE RASPBERRY JAM | When I was growing up, my grandpa was famous for his strawberry freezer jam. Freezer jam retains the original flavor of the fruit so much better than cooked jam, and the abundance of sugar in a traditional recipe - though delicious - was enough to make you giddy for weeks. Fast forward to 2019, and we need to find a way to retain all of that delicious flavor from our summer fruit, and kick the sugar. Now, making jams, jellies, and preserves without refined sugar is a scientific phenomenon. The pectin requires the presence of sugar to activate and set. So, what to do? What we always do with paleo recipes. Swap it for an upgrade. In this case, it’s organic white grape juice and the squeeze of half a lemon that brighten and set all this raspberry deliciousness. I did both black and red, but black raspberry freezer jam is my all-time favorite. And this recipe, without added sugar, not only sets beautifully, but all you taste is the fruit. Nothing. But the. Ingredients
2 cups minced or riced cauliflower
1/2 cup fresh cilantro leaves
1/2 cup fresh parsley leaves
1/2 cup almond flour
1 tbsp arrowroot flour (I used more almond flour this time for less starch)
1 medium egg
3 cloves garlic
4 teaspoons cumin powder
1 teaspoon sea salt
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/2 teapsoon chili powder
Olive oil for cooking
Preheat oven to 400F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a food processor blend all the ingredients, except the minced cauliflower and olive oil. Blend until the herbs are minced.
Once the herbs are minced, add in the minced cauliflower and pulse until combined.
Form the falafel dough into 16 1 1/2' round balls. Use a pastry brush and brush each falafel with olive oil.
Cook for 20 minutes on 400F then rotate the falafels and cook for another 20 minutes.

Ingredients 2 cups minced or riced cauliflower 1/2 cup fresh cilantro leaves 1/2 cup fresh parsley leaves 1/2 cup almond flour 1 tbsp arrowroot flour (I used more almond flour this time for less starch) 1 medium egg 3 cloves garlic 4 teaspoons cumin powder 1 teaspoon sea salt 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder 1/2 teapsoon chili powder Olive oil for cooking Preheat oven to 400F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a food processor blend all the ingredients, except the minced cauliflower and olive oil. Blend until the herbs are minced. Once the herbs are minced, add in the minced cauliflower and pulse until combined. Form the falafel dough into 16 1 1/2' round balls. Use a pastry brush and brush each falafel with olive oil. Here’s the tasty ingredients: -1 lb. chicken breasts or tenders⁣⁣
-2 Tbsp avocado oil, extra-virgin olive oil ⁣⁣
-1 yellow onion, diced ⁣⁣
-2 cloves garlic, minced ⁣⁣
-1 tsp. ground cumin ⁣⁣
-2 tsp. chili powder ⁣⁣
-1.5 cups enchilada sauce, gluten free, divided ⁣⁣-4 large zucchini (I used both yellow and green ones), sliced with a wide peeler, or mandolin ⁣⁣
-1/4 cup shredded cheese ⁣⁣
-sea salt and fresh ground black pepper, to taste⁣⁣

Instructions:
1️⃣ Preheat oven to 350ºF. ⁣⁣
2️⃣ Heat oil in large skillet over medium-
Add chicken breasts and cook for about 6 minutes on each side (no longer pink in the middle).
3️⃣ Season with sea salt and pepper, then shred it using 2 forks. ⁣⁣
4️⃣ In the same pan, add in the onion and cook for about 3 minutes until translucent. Add the garlic and spices, then return the shredded chicken to the pan.⁣⁣
5️⃣ Pour in 1 cup of enchilada sauce, then stir well until combined. ⁣⁣
6️⃣ On a cutting board, lay out 4-5 zucchini slices slightly overlapping each other. Add spoonful of chicken mixture on top at one end as shown. Roll up and transfer carefully to a baking dish. ⁣⁣
7️⃣ Repeat with remaining zucchini and chicken mixture. ⁣⁣
8️⃣ Drizzle the remaining enchilada sauce on top and sprinkle with shredded cheese. ⁣⁣
9️⃣ Bake for approximately 20 minutes until cheese is melted and ENJOY!!! 🌮🍖🔥

SIBO (Small Intestine Bacterial OverGrowth) El intestino delgado debe de tener una cantidad limitada de bacterias ya que la gran mayoría se encuentran en el intestino grueso

El intestino delgado se encarga de absorber los nutrientes (entre otras cosas), al tener bacterias sobre 'crecidas' no puede funcionar bien y causa de todo (puede ir a ver los síntomas en la 3era foto)

Es impresionante como no tienes hambre en todo el día, claro que pasado los 10 primeros días... al principio uno se quiere comer una olla de arroz🙈pero hay que ser muy fuerte y constante 💪💪💪 vamos que se puede! Siempre he sido seca para tomar agua, odio los jugos.. pero con esta alimentación me da tanta pero tanta sed que me tomo 4 vasos en ayuna de agua filtrada, de ahí desayuno y sigo tomando agua, ando con mi botella para todos lados! Yo cacho que me tomo unos 4-5 litros de agua filtrada al día.
Yo pensaba... que lata tener que tomar una copa de vino diaria o champaña, pero de verdad... no te dan ganas de tomar más, antes me tomaba fácil 6 tazones pero grandes de café con leche sin lactosa.. cambie a leche de almendras y chao, solo dos al día, chao coca light (no te dan ganas), también tomaba redbull sin azúcar y ahora chao!! Prefiero una agüita de limón o un té rico...y el tema del PAN🙈 csm al principio me quería morir, como muy poco pan y siempre integral hecho con masa madre, pero debo decir que ya no babeo cuando veo uno, tampoco babeo cuando veo pastas etc y eso que llevo 12 días pero 12 dias FULL ESTRICTOS ASI QUE SIGAMOS ASI👏
Acá hice unos tallarines de zapallitos italianos con pesto de albahaca, almendras tostadas, rúcula un poco de parmesano, agua y un poco de aceite de oliva de ajo @deleyda_oficial, después unos portobelo grandes rellenos con su propio tallo, más sofrito y fondos de alcachofas y x ultimo salmón vuelta y vuelta con aceite de ajo, cilantro y al apagar jugo de Lima!

Sometimes an idea sounds great, but doesn’t taste very good. Tonight we tried to make paleo panfried tomatillos using coconut flour, unsweetened coconut flakes, and avocado oil. Fail! Perhaps with almond flour, it would’ve worked. We may try it again next time we bring home tomatillos.

I was planning on making a Tangy Trout Tuesday dinner tonight. But, the trout at the store looked like it had seen a better day or two.
Halibut, on the other hand, looked amazing and I splurged. When the fish is this good, no recipe is needed. Some salt, pepper, garlic powder, a few chunks of butter and a few lemon slices, 400F oven and 15-20 minutes of time is all that’s needed to make a wonderful Baked Halibut Tuesday dinner.
I served it over baked veggies: I chopped one zucchini, one yellow squash, one red pepper, 3 young carrots, sprinkled everything liberally with salt, pepper and Italian spices and baked at 400 F for 30 min.
I added the halibut in another baking dish for the last 15 min.
For my tartar sauce I used about 3/4 cup of chopped dill pickles, 3/4 cup mayo, 1/2 a small white onion, pepper, 1 tsp of lemon juice and a handful of chopped cilantro leaves. I know, I know, it’s supposed to be dill or parsley, but I didn’t have any and cilantro made it taste very refreshing.

After being on vacation I always look forward to coming home, relaxing & cooking👩🏻‍🍳⁣

This spaghetti is #glutenfree #dairyfree and you would never know it!🍝⁣

To make the sauce I chopped up onion & garlic & sauteed it with olive oil until soft & caramelized then added grass finished ground beef from a local farm with cayenne pepper, chili flakes, turmeric, black pepper, himalayan salt, lemon pepper, oregano, thyme, @costco no salt seasoning. Once the meat has browned I add baby bella mushrooms & cook until it starts to soften. Then I added in a #sugarfree #organic pasta sauce from @naturalgrocers. Let the sauce simmer on low heat and add more chili flakes if you like it spicy. ⁣

I chopped up fresh basil and parsley that I add to the sauce as well for extra flavor!⁣

Serve on top of @jovialfoods Gluten free spaghetti sauteed in herbs & olive oil then top with @violife_foods Parmesan😋⁣
