How often do you get outside?
Big adventures are always great, but sometimes it’s hard to carve out big chunks of time.
I absolutely love road trips and big adventures but I’m also extremely glad I live in an area where I can get to so many cool outdoor places pretty quickly.
When Tim and I don’t take off for the weekend, we often try to get outside for at least one weekend day just to fill up and reset before the next week.
Spending time outside is a HUGE part of my self care.
And with taking care of my grandma, teaching yoga, and just loving the people I have in my life, I know I NEED to fill up so I can pour out love instead of empty fumes of grumpiness. 🤷🏻‍♀️. I think there’s still a whole lot of people who think they don’t have time for self care or that they shouldn’t prioritize themselves because it’s selfish.
But I’m telling you, if you carve out just a tiny bit of time each day or half a day each week, you will be SO MUCH BETTER OFF!
When we fill up then it’s WAY easier to be kind and loving to people around you because you aren’t running on empty yourself.
We become more patient, understanding, and life just feels easier!
Also when you’re happy and positive, you tend to attract others who are in a similar boat 😉! #pinkiesdown @unionwinecompany

A little rear delt/upper back work with the sled today. Still working on my camera rigging skills, so sorry for all the close-ups of my crotch.
These sled reverse flys are a great finisher for any upper body workout. Just about everyone could use more upper back work, and the constant movement makes this a cardiovascular challenge as well if you push the pace.

Workout inspired by my friends over at @behaviorchangefitness - adding just that little bit of extra effort to my morning walk made all the difference! I love my home workouts, but it’s important to keep the focus on CONSISTENCY of exercise, so if that looks like a fun class or some reps outside, I’ll make it happen as long as I keep moving! 💪🏼 👊🏻 🏃🏽‍♀️

The body needs to be fueled properly to perform at its highest level, and generate the best results

With these 3 products and the purpose behind them greatly promote the exact things I’m after

Opti-Reds, promote improved circulation of oxygen rich blood along with antioxidants to combat free radicals and improve cell repair
.
AlphaCreHd, a non stimulated preworkout with creatine, which is essential for both pulling water into the muscle (hydrated muscle is protected & stronger) and help create ATP (energy on demand) along with beta alanine to help delay muscle fatigue
.
EAA, or essential amino acids, which deliver the amino acids necessary to help protect muscle break down over a long training session. Added benefit is a small serving of caffeine (from green tea extract)(you don’t want a lot when doing endurance or cardio activities) and a blend of electrolytes to keep you hydrated

Give this liss session a go and feel the burn 🔥 😉 - Walk 15-30 minutes on 15 elevation on level 4 or 3, add a resistance band to the sides of the treadmill to add extra resistance, try to walk with the resistance band at the level of your hips and thrust whilst walking, i assure you this form of cardio will help a lot with glute development and strength and resistance 💪

Crazy how now I love to get a sweat session in but before I hate it! I didnt want to know anything that had to do with working out but I knew that my life situations were a result of my choices so I decided to start making the right choices for myself!

I love leg day!! I have really been into functional training lately. This workout left me dripping in sweat, it is such a good workout I recommend you try it!
The workout-
- super set: - kettlebell squats 4 sets of 10-12 reps - kettlebell deadlifts 4 sets of 10-12 reps
- tire flipping down and back 4 times
- sled pushing down and back 4 times
- deadlift into squat 4 sets of 6-8 reps
- weird half squat things (target quads) 4 sets of 10 reps
Not recorded-
- leg press - narrow stance 3 sets of 15 reps - first position stance 3 sets of 15 reps - heals hanging off 3 sets of 15 reps
- treadmill cool down 15 mins

Honestly, I’ve been doing this for over a decade and I see the same patterns over and over. People come in surrounded by chaos in either their own life or in the lives of those close to them then as they organize their lives, they stop identifying with the chaos.

Don’t get me wrong, chaos isn’t always a bad thing, that’s how we all got here after all. But it’s just not sustainable and eventually you have the find some kind of flow
