It’s a strange one, because I definitely can’t be spontaneous yet I feel like I can’t plan either. I need to prep rest, time and energy to have a chance of doing something, but then half the time my body decides it’s not going to work regardless.

I don’t know how I’m going to feel when I wake up in the morning. I don’t know how I’ll feel tomorrow or next week. I just have to see how I feel on the day. And sometimes that’s difficult. Not knowing how long a flare will last can be daunting, but I try to remind myself that it isn’t automatically a massive backwards step.

After three days of pastries, baguette and French cheeses I’ve come home very content, but also very ready to tuck into plenty of fruit, veggies, yoghurt and whole grains. These thoughts no longer come from a place of restriction. I’m not “cutting back” after my holiday or going on some new diet. Instead, it’s just what my body feels is right. I loved rediscovering old favourites, trying new delights and switching things up, but I also love that I can now listen to my body - it lets me know when it’s craving the things that I eat on a more regular basis - porridge bowls, berries, peanut butter, smoothies, eggs on toast with sautéed greens + plenty of ketchup, sweet potato wedges, dark chocolate... Remember, without l black and white thinking, all foods have a time and place 😊. So with that in mind, this morning I blended up a super thick smoothie bowl, packing lots of my favourites into a nourishing and really tasty breakfast.
Deets as follows 💖: frozen banana, frozen strawberries, frozen cauliflower (pre steamed), @linwoodshealthfoods ground flaxseed, @pulsinhq mixed berry supershake, plenty of @biotiful_dairy kefir quark, cinnamon, honey + a splash of cashew milk blended until smooth and then topped with a portion of @spooncereals nutty one muesli and a generous drizzle of tahini ✨

A healthy coping strategy , puts you in control , it’s something you put in place to work through certain feeling and situations .
Using the healthy coping strategy enables you to slowly improve Your mood , your feeling and your outlook .

A negative coping mechanism , is often impulsive , makes you feel an extreme high or very quickly makes you feel better , but the feelings don’t last and you often crash back down to feeling the same way of not worse and start the cycle all over again .

tried to get a nice photo of ted in the grass, didn’t really though 😂I’ve taken a little break from Ted’s training the past couple of days just due to health and getting my GCSE results. i think the break has done him really well though! he’s calming down more every day and he’s so good at what he knows. have to keep reminding myself he’s 13 weeks old though 👀👀, I don’t want to push him. my GCSE results turned out really well, and i hope everyone else is happy with theirs too!

I learnt about this technique when i was a teenager and struggling to sleep at night...
Lack of sleep can have a detrimental affect on children. During this time on my life, I became irritable, overly emotional and found it difficult to concentrate in school. This exercise is a good one to try when you are in bed laying down. It’s always been a go to exercise for me, even now as an adult! What a powerful book. This was a short but difficult read, as it details a young woman’s decent into mental health issues and how she is treated because of it. I really connected with this book because of its stance on mental health in women, feminism and sex. It’s crazy to think that this was written so long ago and to also imagine the impact it had on women who were struggling on the same level as the main character. This left me feeling so many things when I finished and I am so glad that I finally picked it up as it was a brutal assault of emotions.
If you haven’t read it then I highly recommend it!

Sto litigando con Andrea, da ieri. Mi sento proprio rotta dentro, sento il cuore che soffre anche da un lato fisico e non solo emotivo, come se fosse totalizzante. Sento il dolore per i discorsi che stiamo facendo, con le sue risposte taglienti e veloci che mi stanno facendo sanguinare lentamente. So già che da questi messaggi ne uscirò vuota. Penso anche alla tempistica: proprio ora che nemmeno potremo parlarci faccia a faccia, proprio ora che passeremo un mese separati. Un mese senza di lui. So già che non riuscirò a farlo. So già che sarà come morire, come affondare, come perdersi. Per poi ritrovarsi? Forse ci vuole sofferenza come questa per poi ritrovarsi uniti e vicini, legati in un modo da essere irraggiungibili agli altri. Ma... se invece tutto questo non farà altro che separarci del tutto? Perderei tutti i miei sogni. La casa al mare non avrebbe senso perché da sola mi sentirei vuota. Ed i figli che un giorno vorrò? Niente da fare. Addio al gatto, al nostro orticello...
Ieri poi ho anche litigato in casa. Le ho sentite perché secondo mio padre ce l'ho con la sua compagna e la figlia. Ieri c'era una festicciola in cui c'era tutta la famiglia ed io con loro ho parlato poco. Mia sorella stava al telefono e del resto entrambe stavano per conto loro. Io parlavo con chi mi parlava. Però le ho sentite, le ho sentite perché 'faccio la psicologa', e perché mi sento sempre dare la colpa anche quando non c'è. Ora mi chiedo io, come si possa non sentirsi incolpare quando uno ci urla addosso...

Però le ho sentite, le ho sentite perché 'faccio la psicologa', e perché mi sento sempre dare la colpa anche quando non c'è. Ora mi chiedo io, come si possa non sentirsi incolpare quando uno ci urla addosso...

1999: Friday 13th with 3 tired screaming kids and two ratty mothers. We were up at 6.45 but the biguns, who had slept downstairs, wouldn't let us down until half eight!  And this was only when Dessica and I had had enough of trashing the bedroom and decided to have a crying and screaming competition for our respective mothers, whilst trying to see who could cry and scream the loudest and hardest.  We went out late morning.  Where to?  B & Q!  As if mum isn't bad enough, does Aunty Eesa really have to drag her out again?  And all that for ................. One paint brush?! We stopped at a pub on the way home that had 'inflatable fun'. I loved the big, bouncy slide but I couldn't quite understand the other children.  They must be very boring.  Who wants to stand around in lines when you could be whizzing down a slide?  It started to rain and we were bundled back into the camper van quite hastily.  Why?  Because now they want to go to Macro!  I give up.  Aunty Eesa bought a blind  and that was the extent of the trip.  Mum was either being very restrained or very broke.  The girls stayed for tea (pasta again!) followed by rice pudding.  Talk about carb overload.  Anyone would think they wanted us to sleep or something! 
2019:  Another day in but am starting to get out more on social media and shared this from My Inner Momologue:
I grew up watching mom handle any and every obstacle life put in her way. She went through shit which I'm sure kept her up crying at night but she still got up every morning and did an amazing job raisin us. I could never be weak. I learnt from the best.
I now understand why it was so difficult to get her up of a morning!

Today as I celebrate my birthday, I can’t help but speak to this. From the age of 33 I was told that by 40 I’d be blind. Today I’m 49 and clearly this is not so...🙏🏽🤗 However grateful or thankful I may be, I still struggle physically and emotionally.
I hate living by a clock...that constant reminder that “it’s time to medicate!” 3 times a day. It seems simple enough compared to the alternative right? Logically it is. But there’s a cost factor, there are those constant and pesky side effects, limitations, and ultimately the fact that my body is becoming immune/resistant to the long term use. But...there’s an option. Do this surgery and I have no more meds to take or pay for. The pressures will be constant and we minimize the risk of further damage...but the truth? I’m low key terrified.
That pesky voice says “What if...?”
The process sounds not quite so pleasant... there’s s risk of scarring and blocked tubes... “what if...?” that voice says. The cost factor and then...what if? 🤷🏾‍♀️ Only one eye is completely functional...what if? You get the point. The risks are great and several.
The Reward: freedom! Freedom from all those sometimes unpleasant drops. Perhaps the headaches would abate. The pressures would be constant, so in essence the disease should not progress...so what’s the problem? The uncertainty!
Perhaps you have another fear that you’re battling with. A giant step you’re afraid the take...but it’s THE one that will take you where you need to be...so which do you choose, fear or freedom?? I compromised. Mentally, I need to get to birthday number 50 in a familiar state of being. I know THIS reality. But, after that milestone and a few others, all bets are off.
Find a way to face your fear. Do not let others push you past your point of readiness.
Others won’t always agree with your decision, but they will have to respect it. Is the REWARD worth the RISK? For me it is, but timing is critical to my well being. Take your time. Weigh it carefully, but always remember the end game! What have YOU been praying/longing for? 🤔

My Phase 1 of @morningmeltdown100 results are in and my gosh 🙈
I am 8.6lbs and 10.5 inches down 😱 I am super happy with these results. 20 workouts, yes just 20 workouts have changed my body this much.
But its not just the numbers, I am down 2 dress sizes, I can nearly do the splits, I have more energy, I am sleeping better (well as much as the kids will let me) and I feel happy 😊

I've been and I'm still suffering from clinical depression, with the therapist analyzing it to be 52 (PCL-5). I'm in the process of getting psychological help and hopefully stabilize myself before the start of the semester. In the process, I've hurt, suffered, failed, struggled and survived.
