Headstands have nothing to do with weight and everything to do with strength AND flexibility. Muscles memorize the movements you maintain. Sometimes I find it easier to let go of the 'i used to be able to do...blah blah blah' and just go ahead and do the 'blah blah blah'. Whatever that may be.. whether you're getting a helping hand, prop or wall. You can still do it! And if not, you can try. You may just be surprised how strong you've become because there is no losing it. You control this practice, so, who chose to let it go? Youre only as strong as you believe sometimes, even when you're encountering a crappy situation. That eensy bit of strength, can take you far. Dont give up. 💕

The last 3 days have been so needed for me. I was able to mentally relax and tried something new each day. First was trapeze, then explored a new park and today I bought a ukele 😂 so random lol I'm at a stage in my life where I just think 'fuck it why not?' and starting to get serious about checking things off my bucket list! Life is too short! I'm sure this phase will become my lifestyle as its such a liberating way to live 💙🎉

Improving our balance is fundamental for both the body and the mind! On a physical level, having a good balance can help us being functional and performing our daily activity and, also, preventing injuries.
On a mental level, balance asanas are helpful in reducing stress and anxiety and they improve focus and concentration.
With this challenge we will explore two different aspects of balance in yoga: balance asanas (so balancing from the feet) and arm balance asanas (so balancing from the hands).
Each day you will be able to choose between a balance pose and an arm balance pose!
As always, feel free to modify each pose and to use prop and listen to your body.

1.Assists with the muscle recovery process allowing tissue to recover.
2.Maintains your motivation levels up: avoids mental burnout.
3. Critical to preventing injuries from over use.
REST TYPES
-Passive rest: You give your body an entire break away from any stressful exercise. Complete rest helps your body fully recover.
