Hablemos de los pimientos.... deliciosos NO picantes, le dan un toque crujiente a las ensaladas, pero lo mejor de todo es que uno de los vegetales con más concentración se vitamina C.
100 g de pimiento rojo fresco aportan nada más y nada menos que190 mg de vitamina C, más del triple que las naranjas.
Como DATO!!
El pimiento fue el alimento a partir del cual el químico húngaro Albert Szent-Györgyi 🧐sintetizó esa vitamina en el año 1928, lo cual le valdría el Premio Nobel de Medicina y Fisiología una década más tarde
Los beneficios de los pimientos para la salud son muchos, pero en resumen:
📍Tienen un cóctel de antioxidantes y viene acompañado de vitamina B6, ácido fólico, flavonoides, ácidos orgánicos y salicilatos de efecto antiinflamatorio. 📍Destacan en betacaroteno, precursor de la vitamina A
📍Si estás llevando una dieta basada en plantas, los pimientos al tener un alto contenido de vitamina C, El Hierro se absorbe mejor en la sangre. ——-

TOFU ORGÁNICO CON VERDURAS.

Sé que ma soya es una tema súper controversial. La verdad yo intento evitarla por la tiroides (trngo hipotiroidismo) pero si te aseguras que la soya que consumes es orgánica te salvas de los pesticidas que usan para regar las cosechas y de que estén genéticamente modificados.

Otro tip si te gusta el tofu pero debes dejarlo por alguna cuestión de salud hormonal, es que sólo lo consumas una vez por semana...

Acuérdate que NADA es bueno ni malo..comer soya 1 dia no te mata ni empeora tu condición lo que te hace mal es obsesionarte con la comida y vivir frustrada.

Debemos aprender a comer de todo y si de plano tienes alguna restricción alimentaria que debes seguir puntualmente para curarte, busca las versiones mas similares o parecidas a esos alimentos que te gustan y no sufras!

Dinner - Vegi-Burger in Pita Bread - In summer I prefer to postpone my cooking outside – So the flat stays cool and clean and I can enjoy the weather while cooking - Many people I know are a bit hesitant when it comes to grilling - All I can say is just do it! - Ideally for trying is the vegetarian @Garden_gourmet_ch Burger - Place the burgers on the grill at medium heat and grill for about 9-13 minutes, turn every now and then - I guarantee you nothing will go wrong - The burgers are already perfectly shaped, so there is no danger of them breaking apart or anything - The full recipe is up on the blog

Abendessen – Vegi-Burger im Pita Brot - Im Sommer verschiebe ich das Kochen am liebsten ins Freie - So bleibt die Wohnung schön kühl und frisch und ich kann das Wetter beim Kochen geniessen - Viele die ich kenne sind etwas zurückhaltend wenn's ums grillen geht - Da kann ich nur raten, ausprobieren hilft! - Am besten gleich mit den vegetarischen @garden_gourmet_ch Burger - Die Burger bei mittlerer Hitze auf den Grill legen und dann für ca. 9-13 Min grillen, hin und wieder drehen - Ich verspreche dir, da kann echt nichts schief gehen - Die Burger sind auch schon perfekt vorgeformt, dadurch besteht keine Gefahr vom Auseinanderbrechen oder so - Das ganze Rezept findest du auf dem Blog #WERBUNG #AD

I wanted to share with you my story of how I became an “intuitive vegetarian”
{ or flexiveg or vegetarian(ish) 😏} .
& what I mean by these terms... .
I became a “strict” vegetarian a little over 3 years ago. I didn’t make this choice so much because of a scary documentary or because I wanted to #savetheplanet, but honestly because I realized I never was a huge fan of eating meat, even when I was a little girl, often avoided it on my plate. .
I wanted to adopt a way of eating in my adulthood that I enjoyed + that made my body feel good for the long haul. As I made this choice, I felt supported in the fact that I have never heard anyone state that people should cut natural, fresh, plant-rich meals out of their diet! Ever!

And from there- a lifestyle began for me. After over a year of strictly eating and cooking vegetarian meals (feeling the best my body had felt in a long time with food), I started to think about what it would look like to slowly introduce quality meat products back into my diet every now and then when the craving occurred. I didn’t know about “intuitive eating” at the time, but I did understand how to listen to my body & what my body was craving and needing.

(Honestly, I also didn’t want to be an inconvenience to my friends and family all the time because of my own personal dietary choices!)
.
So now, I mostly cook vegetarian meals because this is what makes my body feel best - as well as limiting my dairy intake. I’m not suggesting this lifestyle choice is the best choice out there for all bodies- everyone is different + you need to choose what feels right for you!

So, if you see meat is used in a recipe, know that I don’t consider myself a strict vegetarian anymore. Instead, I am trying to listen to my body, eat intuitively, and focus on putting good food in - cuz y’all - #goodfoodgoodmood! Go, you, if you read all this! 🤣😅👍🏼

After seeing today’s prime deals (and buying yet another instant pot 🤷🏾‍♀️) I had to break out the OG before the new one comes!⁣

We bought cabbage from Whole Foods and I wanted to use it differently than the traditional southern way so I just threw it in the pot! Low sodium chicken broth, cabbage, carrots, onions, a whole lotta garlic, a little bit of celery, peppers, bone broth and an egg (coming soon) all make this meat free soup FABULOUS. (Seriously y’all I wish y’all could smell this😜)

HELLO LOVASSS! I was simply TOO excited to share this recipe with y'all. This is a little creation I dreamed up that was inspired by all the vegan jalapeño popper dishes i've been seeing recently! Something as delicious and spicy as jalapeño poppers are too good to only be eaten as an appetizer...so why not turn it into an entire meal?! These jalapeños are stuffed with homemade spicy Jalapeño Cashew Aoli, dusted in cashew and nutritional yeast coating and crisped perfectly in the oven paired with a zesty Lentil Veggie Burger and topped with even more veggies AND even more cashew cheese! 🤣 I call this my Spicy Lentil Jalapeño Popper Burger (minus the bun 😉) !!!! This is one for the books, and if you make double the recipe you'll have leftovers for days! Or an extremely delicious meal to feed friends who can handle their spice...😅 🌶

• Preheat oven to Broil.
• Soak 1 cup of cashews in water for 5 min. Drain the water and add 1 diced jalapeño (keeping the seeds adds more spice), 1/2 cup coconut milk, 1/4 cup water, 1 TSP. cumin, 1 TSP. paprika, 2 TBSP. nutritional yeast, 1/2 cup crushed walnuts, 1/4 of a diced onion, and 2 cloves of garlic in a blender and blend until thick! Add more water for pudding consistency!
• Blend 1 cup of raw cashews with 1/4 cup nutritional yeast until powdered, set aside.
• In a bowl mix together 1 can of drained/mashed lentils, 1 TBSP. nutritional yeast, 1 TSP. paprika, 1 TSP. cumin, 1/4 TSP. cayenne, 1 clove minced garlic, 1/2 diced onion, 1/4 cup of shredded/diced carrot, 1 diced jalapeño, and 1/4 cup of your cashew 'dust.' Spray and form 2 patties 1-2 inches thick into a small cake pan and set aside.
• Cut 5-6 jalapeños in half and spoon out the seeds. Dip your jalapeño shells in the cashew cheese then coat w/ cashew 'dust'. Bake for 8 minutes 1 side, 4 minutes the other. Do the same with your lentil burgers, same time and checking for crispness at the end!
• Stack ur poppers and burger with fresh tomatoes, avocado, sprouts, and leftover drizzled cashew cheese and cashew dust!

Pra começar a semana sem glúten, mas não sem graça: lasanha de pupunha com recheio de ricota de tofu e brócolis --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ingredientes:
PARA A MASSA
•	8 lâminas de palmito pupunha (cerca de 300g);
•	Sal.
PARA O RECHEIO
•	300g (aproximadamente) de tofu firme;
•	Meia cebola ralada ou picada;
•	Salsinha e cebolinha picadas a gosto;
•	4 colheres (sopa) de azeite;
•	1 limão espremido;
•	Sal e pimenta-do-reino a gosto;
•	300g (aproximadamente) de brócolis;
•	1 dente de alho picado.
PARA O MOLHO
•	5 tomates italianos maduros picados, sem semente; •	1 cebola picada;
•	1 dente de alho picado;
•	Noz moscada, pimenta-do-reino, orégano e sal a gosto;
•	Uma pitada de açúcar (para quebrar a acidez). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
MODO DE PREPARO
Deixe a peça de tofu embrulhada num pano de
prato, para tirar o excesso de água, por cerca de meia hora. Amasse o tofu e tempere com a cebola, salsinha e cebolinha, azeita, limão, sal e pimenta. Temperar ao menos 2 horas antes do preparo. O tofu pode ser substituído por resíduo de leite vegetal.
Para o molho, refogar a cebola em uma panela e quando estiver transparente, adicionar o alho. Em seguida, adicionar os tomates, os temperos e misturar tudo. Cozinhar em fogo baixo até que o molho fique no ponto de sua preferência. Reserve.
Cozinhe o brócolis no vapor, até que fique bem macio. Na sequência, corte-os em pedaços bem pequenos ou os amasse, e refogue com o alho. Reserve.
Cozinhe as lâminas de pupunha por cerca de 5 minutos em água fervente com sal; na sequência, monte a lasanha intercalando a pupunha, o molho, a ricota de tofu e o brócolis. Finalize com uma camada generosa de molho. Leve ao forno pré-aquecido a 180∘C e deixe por cerca de 20 minutos. Rende uma porção de mais ou menos 400g.
