Todays workout wrecked me! Fire 30 from Turbo Fire! I forgot how much I love this workout!! It was hard for me, really hard - so I am proud I finished it tonight! Also my lunch from today was the Heirloom Tomato Salad from the 131 Method! Lots of arugula, hemp seeds, fetta cheese, cold pressed EVOO, balsamic vinegar, and of course - one tomato sliced! I am been loving this salad this week! Its definitely hitting the spot!

Todays workout wrecked me! Fire 30 from Turbo Fire! I forgot how much I love this workout!! It was hard for me, really hard - so I am proud I finished it tonight! Also my lunch from today was the Heirloom Tomato Salad from the 131 Method! Lots of arugula, hemp seeds, fetta cheese, cold pressed EVOO, balsamic vinegar, and of course - one tomato sliced! I am been loving this salad this week! Its definitely hitting the spot!

I sat in my basement for a good 20 minutes in the dark in my workout clothes...trying to find every excuse to not workout. I ended up doing a 25 minute hit workout from Turbofire snd it's just what I needed! The other photo....is my lunch! Y'all I am having this all week! It's a thai inspired Tempeh bowl from the 131 method! I am so in love with this meal!

For dinner tonight I made the 131 Method’s Butter Chicken with cauliflower rice (with naga chilli powder added for extra fire!). Tasted delish and was so easy and simple to make. Followed by a slice of gf banana loaf I whipped up this afternoon.

One of my meals from my meal plan last week. Cloud bread ( so easy to make!! ), sausage burgers, cheese, some micro-greens, and a mixed green salad with olive oil and sea salt. So simple but definitely one of my favorites!!

These bad boys almost made me cry today. Had a little difficulty cooking them. The last three came out nice though. Don’t think I’ll be able to eat them all in 3 days, but they are good.

Today begins my 90 day journey of healing my gut health which will improve my overall health. There are so many cool things about Viome, the company that does the testing. I haven't spoken about it very much yet, but I've actually been dealing with some symptoms that I'd like to get a handle on and I've had some testing done recently to see if it's related to hormone imbalance. 🙂 When I know more, I'll be sharing more!

This last week of my first round of the #131method has me giddy in all the ways. Except, having my kids home from school during this minifast, has made it extremely difficult this go-around. I have the will-power of an ox, but being in the kitchen so much, has been tough keeping snacks out of my mouth.
I have at times, thrown my hands in the air and said, someone has to take over, mom has to leave the kitchen.
My kids fully understand what I have explained to them, and the gut healing that happens when you give your gut a break, is so truthful to the most common level of understanding. .
Giving them a healthy perspective has been what I have done this entire process.
Having 3 girls, who watch my every move, needs to be carefully taught body image love, and loving how God created us, on the daily. .
I’m thrilled with my results and I cannot wait to check the inches. My weight and inflammation is DOWN tremendously.

But being in Canada, it's not readily available for purchase...😑.. I check Amazon and no problem... for $15... 🙄
Considering this costs like $2 in the States I proceeded to search for a DIY option. Bing bang boom!! 💣
Here you go⬇️⬇️⬇️
. 2 tsp white sesame seeds
1+1/2 teaspoons dried onion flakes
1+1/2 teaspoons dried minced garlic (or garlic flakes if you can find)
1+1/2 teaspoons black sesame seeds
1 teaspoon sea salt flakes (Maldon recommended)
1/2 tsp poppy seeds

(This makes about 3 Tbsp so you can double or triple as you wish.) 👌

Combine everything thoroughly and store in an air-tight container at room temperature. Sprinkle on hard-boiled eggs, avocados, over salads, or anything else you wish 😍😍 .

Antibiotics
If you are taking thyroid medication and you are prescribed an antibiotic, you will want to make sure that you know about how thyroid drugs and antibiotics can interact, affecting the absorption of your thyroid medication.
There are a variety of reasons why you may need to take a larger-than-usual dose of thyroid hormone replacement medication— but one of the most common reasons is that you are taking a prescription or over-the-counter medication that affects absorption of your thyroid medication.
Some medications decrease the absorption of thyroid medication while others increase it.
A study from the journal Thyroid found that the antibiotic ciprofloxacin – known more commonly by brand names Cipro, Proquin, Ciproxin, Ciprobay, Cirpoxine, and Ciflox — significantly decreased the absorption of the thyroid medication.(5) [Keep in mind that some experts feel that the warning about ciprofloxacin applies also to similar quinolone antibiotics such as levofloxacin (Levaquin), lomefloxacin (Maxaquin), monifloxacin (Avelox), norfloxacin (Norox-In), and ofloxacin (Floxin).] This means that if you are taking thyroid drugs and an antibiotic from the quinolone family, it could interfere with absorption, and cause you to become substantially more hypothyroid.
Interestingly, the antibiotic rifampin significantly increased the absorption of the thyroid medication. This means that if you are taking the antibiotic along with your thyroid hormone replacement medication, it could actually cause you to become overmedicated, or experience hyperthyroid symptoms.
Is there a solution? Some studies have found that the impact may be minimized if the antibiotic and thyroid medications were taken at least six hours apart. But it’s not agreed upon across the board by physicians.
Your best bet is to discuss the issue with your practitioner at the time these drugs are prescribed (and before you get the prescription filled). There may be other antibiotics available for your treatment that are less likely to interfere with the effectiveness of your thyroid treatment. To be safe, take antibiotics 6 hours either before or after your thyroid medication.

Just what I was craving... do you ever get tired of eating meat? I do! It’s like chicken or beef doesn’t look appetizing to me... weird? I don’t think so... food cycling is good for your gut and since on the @131method , my body is adjusting naturally to that pattern of food cycling. 😀👍🤗

Another easy-peasy meal from the 131 method - the super yummy fat-burning bowl. I also added some sautéed spinach and mushrooms and topped with grated cheddar.
I practice an OMAD style of intermittent fasting and usually have around a 4-5 hour eating window. One of the reasons I choose to have my eating window in the evening is because I love to enjoy a family dinner at the table with my beautiful daughter. She’s only 2 years old and I’m conscious of setting good examples when it comes to eating healthy whole foods. So sitting down at the table together at least once a day is something that we cherish. Here’s her little bowl of goodness. She ate every last bit so you know it must be good if it gets a toddler’s approval!
I also made the 131 method peanut butter fudge recipe. If you’re a peanut butter fan you HAVE to make this! Soooo good! 😍

For dinner tonight I made the 131 Method’s Butter Chicken with cauliflower rice (with naga chilli powder added for extra fire!). Tasted delish and was so easy and simple to make. Followed by a slice of gf banana loaf I whipped up this afternoon.
